Bringing Mountain Biking to Local Schools

Bringing Mountain Biking to Local Schools:
The Boot Pro’s Community Impact
The Boot Pro is proud to announce a successful partnership with local elementary schools to introduce mountain biking programs for students. Thanks to federal grant funding and the support of local Physical Education teachers, nearly 100 new Specialized bikes and helmets are now owned by Mount Holly, Ludlow, and Northwest Primary School, Rutland City.
For many of these children, this marks the first time they’ve ever had the chance to ride a bike. Through their physical education classes and after-school programs, students are now learning the basics of cycling, bike safety, and trail riding — opening the door to a lifelong love of outdoor recreation.
“This program is about more than just bikes,” said Alex Racicot of The Boot Pro. “It’s about giving kids the opportunity to try something new, get outside, and be part of Vermont’s incredible outdoor community. With mountain biking trails expanding across the state, it’s important that our youth have the opportunity to experience this amazing resource early on.”
The initiative underscores The Boot Pro’s commitment to supporting local youth and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles in the outdoors. By combining federal grant funding with The Boot Pro's access to bike and ski equipment at wholesale prices, the program ensures that all children — regardless of background or experience — can participate and discover the joy of biking. Over the years, The Boot Pro has also helped elementary schools in the same way to obtain ski equipment.
The Boot Pro is already planning to expand this program to additional schools in the coming years.
